Sydney

It's been the best part of a year since I last was in Sydney
I miss the local beer and the heath-leaved banksias

A shaded bus-stop flanks Black Star Pastry
Sapphos and wattle trees, oh, how I miss the coterie

And when I think of Clover Moore
I don't think of Grover, no

I've got a longing din and it's on account of Sydney
I miss the local near architectural disasters

A faded poster says: "Blood is on the wattle"
Take heart, I tell myself, oh, how I miss the Courthouse

And when I think of Clover Moore
I don't think of Grover, no

"An acquaintance friendly frowns in a quaint and friendly town"
Julian Nation's on the radio, oh, wait, he's from Melbourne.
